CARDIAC TREATMENT
The hospital is a referral source to Inova's Heart and Vascular Institute located at Inova Fairfax Hospital which provides advanced cardiac treatment for all ages and specializes in care that includes complex open heart surgery, congenital heart repair, interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, and complex open heart surgery. Cardiovascular Health and Rehabilitation is offered on the campus of Inova Mount Vernon Hospital. Services to the community include a heart health assessment, tools to prevent heart disease by reducing risk factors, and to rehabilitate or treat individuals who have had a significant heart problem. The program also offers Enhanced External Counterpulsation (EECP®), a non-invasive procedure to reduce the symptoms of angina or heart failure for individuals who are not candidates for angioplasty or surgery.
